Whilst\, Frances’s compositions draw on a variety of musical influences to illustrate these unique stories and provide a rich auditory canvas for Ginger’s intriguing lyrics. \nGinger Bennett reaches out to her audience with warmth and humour. Her spontaneous\, edgy and topical chat blends perfectly with finely crafted song-writing and a brilliant five-piece band. Following a successful sporting career Ginger returned to her first passion\, music. See Ginger perform with her Funk and Soul Band Project F\, Nine Piece little big band KD Dance Orchestra as well as jazz/soul ensembles under her Team GB umbrella. Ginger’s original music is produced in partnership with Jazz pianist Frances Knight. FK’s projects have been eclectic and diverse\, ranging from jazz and blues through to improvised music and Argentinian Tango. She has worked extensively in theatre\, both on the small stage and at the National Theatre. \nShe has her own record label\, Mandeville Records\, with tracks played on the BBC\, Jazz FM and Europe-wide. Mandeville releases have featured clarinet legend Tony Coe and Stevie Winwood sideman Paul Booth. She has also recorded albums with the late Hugh Hopper of Soft Machine. \nFrances is a prolific songwriter who has been awarded a European Musicians Federation songwriting prize. \nTracks from these recordings have been played on the BBC\, Jazz FM and Europe-wide.
