DESCRIPTION:The Orb is a groundbreaking British electronic music group founded in 1988. Widely recognised as pioneers of the UK’s ambient house movement.\n  \nThe Orb (sometimes credited as simply Orb) is a British electronic music band known for pioneering the genre of ambient house. The Orb is heavily influenced by dub music\, and much of their later output has been in the electronic dub category\, more so than ambient house. \nThe group was formed in 1988 by Dr. Alex Paterson (full name Duncan Robert Alex Paterson) and Jimmy Cauty (one half of The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu and later The KLF). The Orb’s first release was the acid house anthem "Tripping on Sunshine". \nIn May 1989\, the Orb released the "Kiss EP"\, which was heavily influenced by New York’s KISS FM. Paterson began DJing around London\, England at this time when he met Paul Oakenfold. You can dive deeply into the heart and body\, connecting and expressing\, letting go and having fun. Combing an inspiration of fusion club culture and active meditation\, this is not one to be missed. \nWhat to Expect\nA warm welcome with an energising Siberian Ginseng Tea \nAn opportunity to land in the space and inwardly set intentions \nA short meditation and warm up to lead you in to the dance \nA conscious and diverse musical journey with a range of tempos. With a great sound system and live DJ \nA vibrant room filled with colourful lighting\, incense\, candles \nPeople who love dancing! \nA relaxing meditation and crystal bowl sound bath to ground and relax you after dance. \nOpportunity to stay for optional tea \nThere will be amazing musical rhythms that will keep you dancing from beginning to end. No prior experience is needed. All are welcome. \nThe good thing about Ecstatic Dance is that there are no expectations. No experience is required. You dance however you feel comfortable\, without judgment. \nThere are only a few things to bear in mind when you’re joining an Ecstatic Dance. \nPlease\, no talking during the main dance.
