We’ve got a half-time floor spot from the superb molly dancers Seven Champions. If you’ve never been to a ceilidh (or barn dance) before\, give it a go and you’ll be hooked! The live caller walks you through the dance and tells you what to do – so no skill needed\, and no partner required\, though feel free to bring one. \nAnd as it’s Jack-in-the-Green’s 50th birthday\, why not wear your best GOLD outfit? \nThe annual Jack-in-the-Green procession\, a revival of an old May custom\, celebrates its 50th consecutive year in 2025 and we have plans for our biggest and best event yet! Colourful characters including morris dancers and musicians lead Jack in all his greenery through the town to the castle\, with a herd of hooden horses guiding the way. This ceilidh is to raise funds to allow us to continue to put on this joyful event!
