Is Harmony at Home Possible? – How to Identify and Avoid the Daily Conflicts

Understanding that we all have unique and individual sensory profiles is crucial in navigating day to day clashes within the home. Simple activities can become fraught when we don’t understand how each other functions.
This talk will give you insight and increased awareness of the skills you already have and enable you to maximise these skills for everyone’s benefit.  Understanding your own sensory needs can help to appreciate yourself more and enable those around you to live more respectfully of each other.

We all experience adverse and overwhelming experiences in our journey through life that results in a disruption to our Mental Health. Sarah’s goal is to help people understand that small changes make a big difference!

Sarah Egen is a qualified and registered therapist with over 20 years’ experience working within Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Misuse. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is also a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy. Alongside her private work she is an Assistant Manager and Mental Health Care Specialist within Mental Health Services of the NHS.

Doors open at 10am so you can grab a coffee and make yourself comfortable! Starts at 10.30am and we will be finished by 12pm. All proceeds will be give to The Umbrella Centre.
